Does White Lodge comply with all Care Quality Commission standards?
White Lodge is proud to have achieved Care Quality Commission Compliant Certification – the highest certification achievable from the care sector’s official regulator. Compliant status means that our services meet essential standards of quality and safety that respect the dignity and protect the rights of our residents. What happens if a Resident needs a Doctor?
If there is a deterioration with a Service Users health their GP of choice would be contacted and a visit would be organised, a member of the management team would always be involved / aware of this to oversee or deal with the situation.
What happens if my relative becomes ill and needs more care?
We can accommodate an increase in care should your relative become unwell. However this would be monitored on a regular bases to reassess needs and ensure that care needs can be met and continuity within the level of care maintained.
What do the fees include?
The fees cover living and care cost – anything additional to this i.e outside resources (example hairdresser / chiropodist) would be charged . You would always be informed of any additional charges prior to the service being used.
Are there Staff on duty throughout the day and night?
White Lodge provides care to all residents 24 hours a day.
Can Residents smoke in the Home?
White Lodge is a non-smoking home.
Do we cater for special individual dietary needs?
Any dietary needs should be discussed in and around the initial assessment. We do cater for special dietary requirements and have the full support of our skilled Chef’s.
What are the fees for becoming a Resident?
We require one month in advance when it is decided that you or your relative would like to take up residency at White Lodge, this also matches the time scale of the 4 week trial when you first decide to come here.
What activities do you offer ?
At White Lodge we have an activity coordinator – activities range from Bingo – Music & Movement, we also call in a range of outside entertainment . Small group outings are also catered for . We will always incorporate activities that relate to each individual’s abilities and needs.
